ParticipantI have the following images in the “/instadmg/InstallerFiles/InstallerDiscs” directory:
MacOS X Client 10.6 10A432.dmg
MacOS X Client 10.6.3 10D575.dmgHow do I tell InstaUp2Date to use the “MacOS X Client 10.6.3 10D575.dmg”?
This is frustrating because InstaUp2Date always wants to use “MacOS X Client 10.6 10A432.dmg”.

ParticipantThis is determined by which Build #s you put in the vanilla catalog. Just remove the one you do not want it to use.

Why doesn’t the script accept a “Installer Disc” argument on the following process command:
Example:
./instadmg/AddOns/InstaUp2Date/instaUp2Date 10.6_vanilla “MacOS X Client 10.6.3 10D575.dmg” –processYour telling me I have to remark out the builds I don’t want to use everytime I want to build an image using the vanilla catalog?
Ridiculous.
I don’t want to make multiple vanilla catalog files for each build either.
I would even accept a script that scans the “InstallerDiscs” directory and display the results and allow you to pick which build you want to install. I understand that the script wouldn’t be as automated since it would have to stop for user input, but remarking out builds in a catalog file is half ass.

ParticipantThere is a bug that prevents it from using the latest version at the moment. I don’t know of a way to pick a specific Install Disc to use when issuing the command. I’d imagine if you had different models, the easiest way about it would just be to copy vanilla and delete out the builds you don’t need. Yes, a bit tedious, but it would get the job done.

ParticipantHey Citation,
Yes, you have to duplicate and modify the text file provided for you. Please bear with us. New documentation does say this is necessary, pardon that it was not readily apparent.

Please file an issue if you would like, patches are accepted as well.Allister

Tedious but in the scheme of things what, 2 mins max? I’m failing to find too much issue. But then that’s just me… 😉
