Move MySQL data from boot disk to RAID?

I have about 1Tb data on my Xserve RAID which I need to import into MySQL, but I don’t have enough space on the boot disk for this. So I need to reconfigure MySQL so that it accesses data on the RAID and not the boot disk.

Can anybody tell me how to do this or provide a good URL?
