Hello, we will soon be netbooting 9diskless) many macs, and using a NetApps server (via NFS) for home directories. We have this all working right now, but I have a question concerning the mounts.byname map (for NIS). One of the columns in the map is for the options used to mount the home directory via NFS. It seems that bresink recommends using “rw,net” in this column. I’m wondering why the “net” part is recommended. Also, would it be a good idea to use the “intr” option too? Finally, would using rsize/wsize=16348 speed things up?

    Thanks,

    Allan
