    Hey
I have a little problem with logging on to my OD-server. (sorry if this topic have been posted before, but I couldn’t find it then).
    Here’s the story:
I added the user to OD and set the homedir to be “afp://server.local/Users/username”. I then tried to login from my client, only to get an alert: Can’t login, the homedir is on a AFP or SMB server. Then I saw that the homedir didn’t even exist.
“Ahh, there’s the problem” I thought. I then created the user homedir (createhomedir -a in the terminal). Bugger, still the same problem. Can’t login because the homedir is located on a AFP or SMB server. (Okay, thats not the EXACT message, but the you get the idea).

Anyone who has the slightest idea, what I do wrong?

PS: I noted this: The homedir created by createhomedir -a is owned by an user I use for uploading files to the webserver. As far as I can see this user doesn’t have anything to do with the OD. Shouldn’t the owner be root or the OD-administrator?

    Okay.
Now I can login. What I did changed the homedir location in WGM.
from afp://server.local/Users/Username to /Network/servers/server.local/Users/username… And then back again. WTF? But hey, it works! And I’m happy!!!!

Krok teh happy admin! Big Grin
