    Hi,

I guess the answer to this question is probalby very obvious, but I just can’t figure it out yet. So here it goes. I set up a Windows 2003 Server with the basic out-of-the-box Active Directory setup. Before implementing AD, I shared one of the hard drive on the box via smb, so OS X (10.2.6) can mount the smb share. However, after the AD implementation, I am no longer able to mount the smb share. The error message I got is error -5000 (Permission Denied). I’m sure the username and password are identical to my previous setup. So do I miss anything here? Should I either set up something in AD or in OS X? Thanks in advance.

check your login to make certain it is using the same encryption as the AD server. I had a problem in which i should have been able to log into my smb share but couldn’t and it turned out to be that i was using two dif password encryption schemes, on on my mac and one on my pc.
just a shot in the dark.
