I’ve set up a network that I believe is described in [url=https://www.afp548.com/Articles/Jaguar/ipsec-6.html]Part 6:WEP is for Wusses[/url]. This works somewhat but certain connection types don’t work. Most “insecure” connections work and most “secure” connections don’t.

For example:

http – works
pop – works
smtp – works
https – sometimes works
imap – lists work, items don’t
smtp:auth – does not work
webdav to iDisk – does not work
connection to other vpn networks connected to the wired network – does not work

Are these problems an inherent limitation in the IPSec protocol? If not, what would be a good place to look for broken settings?
