Having some very odd problems here. We run OD network wide on a 10.3.9 server with all the latest updates. I have a laptop user who I’ve setup with a mobile account on a new machine (her old one died). Her mobile account works fine for about 2-3 days, across multiple reboots both online and offline. Then it stops dead.
This is a brand new machine and has been fully formatted and reinstalled 4 times within 2 weeks, seeing the exact same behavior each time and I do not have this problems with any other machines on my LAN, 50+ are fine including 12 or so other laptops .. all running Panther. This problem laptop is running Tiger and is the only option for it, it comes with a ‘custom’ (read hacked) version of 10.4.2 and will not run anything older.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Unfortunately I an unable to set this user up strictly locally (thanks to Sabranes-Oxley and her being a data owner). I’ve been suggested to "just update your servers to 10.4.x) which is also not possible on my setup.
