Here I was, all fat, dumb and happy, with my mobile account set up on my laptop, ‘synching’ messages when I log on and off the laptop, and the occasional ‘flipping homes’ up on the menu bar, all indicating that the mobile account’s data was being synched with the server.
Yesterday the laptop’s hard drive crashed. That’s when I discovered that, despite all the notifications, nothing was actually being copied! I checked the other mobile account I have, and damned if that wasn’t properly replicated, either! (Fortunately, I had a complete backup to a external drive of my laptop’s user data from last weekend, but one thing I lost was slides for a half-day presentation I’m giving in a week or so.)
Anyone have any idea what’s going wrong, or how to debug mobile account synching?

p.s. I have one of those really nice QuickerTek handles on the laptop, and the guy at the Apple store told me that Apple would rule that violates the warranty on the machine. That just added to my anger yesterday…
