I’d like to migrate from Red Hat linux to an Xserve running Panther. Is there any way to cleanly migrate login information and personal accounts for 100’s of users – I’d prefer not to retype all thier info.

Tips, tricks, or suggestions welcome.

it might need some updating for 10.3, but the app can be modified with script editor (applescript)

That would work it I had a spreadsheet (or any list) with cleartext passwords. I don’t. I was looking for something that would translate /etc/passwd (or /etc/shadow).
