I’m playing with OD/AD and MCX with regards to controlling who can login to a client computer. I have an OD group, with an AD group added to it. I’m trying to give this OD group access to login to a test client computer.

WorkGroup Manager > Preferences > Login > Access > Always > Access Control List

If I click on the cog wheel, it puts “Network Users” in, the far right of this line is a * (star, which i can’t change). This allows any network user to login successfully.

If I remove the “Network Users” line, but click on the + icon and add my OD group, along with “allow”, the client fails to allow anyone in this group to login. What might I be doing wrong or misunderstanding?

It won’t let me add both “Network Users” and my OD group at the same time.

    Thanks!

If I add the AD group to the Access Control List section here it works… but not if I add the AD group to the OD group, and add the OD group.

Is this just the way it works or might I have something else configured incorrectly?

I thought that this was supposed to work based on reading the AD/OD documentation from Bombich.
