Managed Preferences

Has anyone spent time with managed prefs? I am looking to replace an ihook setup with the WGM preferences system. From the looks of it, it will handle .plist files, but what about for applications like Quark with more than just a .plist file in /Library/preferences? Can you drag other files into the list in WGM?

Secondly, does WGM or the server store these .plist files, or do you need to drag them in from a location accessible to the users?
