Where can I activate mail too members og an group? Ex; [email protected] goes too members – [email protected], [email protected] and [email protected].

In old times it worked fine when You made a group called “sales”. All members off that group got mail sendt too this group.

I just switched to 10.3.5 after previously running everything up to 10.2.8. We have always been able to email groups, as the example above states it. Now we cannot. The server returns the following error : The server response was: : User unknown in local recipient table. Is this something incorrect with our setup, or a feature that is not available with the switch to Postfix and Cyrus?

you can accomplish this with a alias in postfix.

    for example:

group: [email protected], [email protected], etc…

take a look at man aliases to find out more.

Thanks for the tip, I will look into it. It seems very unapple like to me. Yes I know anything is possible because of the Unix underpinnings. But if I wanted to use Unix, I probably wouldn’t be buying an XServe. =)

if you want a web-based gui to do this sort of stuff with postfix, have a look at webmin.
