Mail aliases don’t work after applying latest (1.1) security patch

After updating to the latest security patch (1.1), Apple’s email server reports that the mailboxes for my user aliases don’t exist. Using Workgroup Manager I created aliases for all my users that are firstname.lastname, so the email addresses are more readable than using their shortnames.
Has anyone else had problems with aliases after updating to this latest security patch?
