Hello,
First, thank you-thank you-thank you-thank you for your great articles
(and web site) about Mac OS X. I haven’t been able to find this
information elsewhere. I’m particularly grateful for the IPsec
articles, as these are directly relevant for me at the moment.
I’m trying to connect my PowerBook at home through a NAT/router
(MacSense) and cable modem to my company’s SonicWall VPN. The firewall device is configured to use DSS certificates for ISAKMP authentication, rather than a pre-shared secret.
The instructions for using the Ravlin client (on Windows) indicate that the “default” Ravlin certificate is acceptable. (I confess I don’t really know what this is.) I’ve been unable to determine whether other certificates are also acceptable.
Could you offer some suggestions for configuring setkey and racoon to
make this work?
Thanks in advance,
/JEP
