I have a g4 running panther with 2 harddrive, I put my important data on the second drive in case the system crashes, I can still have my data in second drive. the problem is whenever I connect it with my ibook (running panther) through afp, i can only see user’s home directory, the second harddrive would not appear to allow me mount to ibook. I use niutil command to change user’s home directory to second harddrive partition, I still can not see the second partition, and user’s home directory would not appear neither under /users. does anybody has clue about this? if I use mac os 9 to afp to this g4, I can see both harddrive partition.

the G4 and my ibook both run on MAC OS X 10.3.5 client version, is there any detail information about how AFP works, how it mount partition after user pass throught AFP authentication?
