Log in through wireless

I have tried to login after a reboot wireless to the server from different 10.5 clients (server is 10.5 to). You know anything about this that could help me? It works if I log into a local user and connects to the wifi and then logout, then I can log onto the server. The wifi is unprotected, so no password needed. We have Captive Portal so you must type a password on your browser in order to get on internet.
