This server is currently in a test environment trying to see what works and what doesnt so I can get it working right before we strat using it. I setup the server and then bound it to ad and then setup od as a master. I made some preferences changes to an ad test user. I bound 2 osx systems to ad and od and was able to login via ad. the 10.5 machine logged in and recieved the preferences changes but the 10.4 machine did not recieve the prefences. Things got busy and I left the server running for a couple days without touching it. Then I went to login yesterday and my local admin accounts wouldnt work. I was able to login as an ad user. I thought maybe the connection to ad was screwing up the system so I disconnected and rebooted and still can not login as a local admin. I have tried ssh from another machine, but still can not login. Has anyone seen this before? Its no big deal to wipe out the server and reload at this point. But I would like to try and find out what is going on whether it has happened to other servers. Thanks in advance.Art

Have you tried logging in as the root user?
