Hi all. Ive been trying to get a basic lion image with 10.7_vanilla 11A511 working (Btw I have a 10.6.8 image working perfectly). Ive been using a lion machine to build the image with instadmg and SIU. I only have a SL server to distribute the netboot images. Do I need a lion svr just to give out the netboot images? Ive got pics of my 8,2s and 6,2s mbps trying to boot (verbose). Posting anything but text on this form is a pain but ill do it if someone asks for it.

The mbps get ips and start to grab the image in netbootsp0. They freeze after that. One of the last lines says

    HFS Low Disk freeblks 93027

Any Ideas? Dont get why it would be complaining about space.

Heres a link to a pic of my verbose netboot http://imgur.com/ZSK97. Also to clarify im just trying a straight vanilla install from 11A511 media. No other packages.

    Hey Dreident,

What ServerOS are you serving NetBoot from? Is there adequate shadow file space(or whatever you call it) on the share NetBoot is serving the image from? Others have been noticing netboot issues on newer EFI models recently, which may have to do with the symptoms you’re experiencing. A thread that is applicable to those symptoms, as posted by a gentleman on the twitter(you should follow me @sacrilicious) is here:

Hope this is of any help,

Im not experiencing that issue mentioned in the link unfortunately. Any idea on how to adjust the shadow file space? Its got be something to do with that. On one 6,2 mbp ive tried the lion image – no luck…then swapped immediately on my svr to the SL image and it works no problem.
