Leopard LDAP and WGM

LDAP Novice here with some 101 questions about LDAP and WorkGroupManager.

Is there some place that will show us how the fields in WGM tie in to LDAP? I am trying to setup a SonicWall device to authenticate with my users in WGM and cannot get the right field to authenticate. What I am looking for is what field goes into which LDAP object like:
On the WGM Basic tab, the field Name = cn, Short name = uid, … and so on. I have seen a table like this before and can not find it again or am not putting the right search text into google.

Also, is there some place on my server(s) I can find what our “search base” is set to vs what it “should” be? Most of our servers were setup hitting the next button on the server setup wizard.
