Your article says, “[i:d8783f7f22]the UniqueID, which should map to a user ID [/i:d8783f7f22]”. Does this [b:d8783f7f22]UniqueID[/b:d8783f7f22] require mapping to a directory value with a syntax of an “Integer” value?

I tried to map UniqueID to Microsoft’s “employeeID” field (included with but not used by Active Directory). Even though we populated this with a nine digit number, every time we try to login using an AD account, Aqua disappears and we are taken to a text-mode login screen. When we check the employeeID field in ADSI edit, the only thing that we can see is it says it’s syntax is “directory string”. The example at shukwit.com creates a new field in Active Directory of syntax “Integer”

    Any ideas or feedback?
