    Hi all,

So I’m, using the LDAP server from Panther server and I want to be able to access the info in the Address Book.

If I access the LDAP server directly via Address Book or set up the ‘Contacts’ pane in Directory Access I get the same thing.

I can find a user I have placed in the LDAP server via Workgroup Manager on the server but no matter the user I get a name of ’99’ and nothing else.

I have tried setting the LDAP v3 service in DA to ‘RFC 2307’, and to Open Directory with a attribute of ‘dc=company,dc=com’ and to ‘From Server’ with a ‘cn=config’ in front of the above.

Any thoughts? I’m stuck, I’ve read Apple’s ‘Open Directory Administration’ PDF, this site and MacDevCenter without much luck.

There’s a good Thread in the Apple Forum about this issue. You will find an answer there:
