    Hey all,

I’m looking at getting net render to run on system startup on some lab machines so we can render stuff while the computers would normally be at idle. Then when someone logs in, it would stop the render process and let them do their thing. And after they log off, have it start again.

Any ideas? I just need to figure out how to get the process to work without being logged into the machine…after that I can do the rest with login scripts and launchd items.

    Thanks,

    Nate

First off: how is this InstaDMG related? Please remember to put the right questions in the right forums.

And then your answer is going to be to make a launchd LaunchAgent and make sure that the LimitLoadToSessionType is “LoginWindow”.

Oh, well its related in this way:

I need a way to set this up in my InstaDMG process and for existing computers (also for testing purposes), I plan on pushing it out via ARD.

So essentially I plan on making it into a package so I can just slide it into my instadmg lineup. I’m in the process of converting all our regular golden master images into InstaDMG images.

    Thanks!

    Nate

*edit* which Forum should the details of the LaunchD item be discussed in?
