I’m trying to use the DeployStudio KSMB printing app, I’ve adjusted the URI of the printers to the ksmb requirements and uploaded the definition to casper. When I push down the driver / ksmb package / printer definition to a box and do a test print, the job hits the local mac queue and goes out as normal but it never prints. So I watched the server and noticed it never hits the printer server queue.
I’ve also noticed that while working on various test boxes it never prompts for my credentials, and after the 3rd printing attempt it locked my account out of AD, so somewhere it’s passing credentials.
If I go back into CUPS and step through and accept all the default settings again, then the printing seems to work.
When I manually map the printer, go into CUPS and adjust the URI to the KSMB then try and print, it pops up asking for credentials and prints, it looks like something changes from the time it’s uploaded to casper then pushed back down to the test box where it stops working. Using the same driver pushed down, same ksmb print app, same printer(s).
