    Hi,

I am a newbie, so I apologize in advance for my ignorance.

I just got an xserve for our work environment (mixed mac and windows). The plan is to use the server both internally, and as a means where clients (external) can view web projects in process.

I have ethernet0 connecting to the internet through our ISP. This has an external IP address. I have ethernet1 connecting to our switch, where all the other computers are connected. This is IP 192.168.0.1.

The xserve is handling DHCP. The DNS seems to be working correclty. The problem is in Kerberos. When promoting this machine to an Open Directory Master, the kerberos realm that it defaults to is my ISPs realm. If I try to manually enter my local realm information and save it, KDC then is stopped.

Any help with what I am doing wrong here would be greatly appreciated!

    thanks,
    elaine
