I can’t seem to authenticate to my OS X Tiger Server using Kerberos when accessing my LAN from another LAN via VPN across the Internet. When I switch the AFP authentication method to “standard”, I am able to see the “chooser” window & mount remote shares from that Server. Not so when Kerberos is the AFP authentication method. I get an error message “identification method of this server could not be found”.

Inside the LAN, all things OD / Kerberos work perfectly as expected. Both (hw) routers of the respective LANs have these ports NATed: 88 tcp, 88 udp.

    What am I missing?

    Hello,

I just can’t believe about 100 people read this and not a soul would reply.

I am really lost here: was my question so stupid? Did I violate some forum rule? Didn’t I make myself clear enough? Has nobody else ever had this situation? Or is the information I am looking for considered “paid service”? In the latter case, I would still need it answered and maybe somebody could just name a price or otherwise offer some kind of arrangement / payment agreement possibility? Maybe somebody could comment on it, I really would appreciate.

    Thanks a lot in advance.

Would somebody please show the basic kindness of expressing what I am missing here?
