Background to this is a so far failed implementation of an Xserve that seems to crash every so often after users disconnect from the VPN, which I’ve suspected for quite some time and have come across another post with a similiar issue, and there fix was to separate OD and VPN. So that’s my next step.
But, I’ve a narrow grasp on what I’m doing or not doing, and taking bullets constantly about our problem being that we have PC’s and a Mac server, with users looking at me like I should see the inherit problem with this. We’ve got a consultant who is essentially saying OD is flawed, and that has spread.
So is it? Do we really need an AD controller to run the show?
