On PPC Macs we had Open Firmware that could be password protected so users couldn’t boot from disc, etc. Does something like that exist for the new Intel based Macs? I’d prefer my users didn’t boot into Windows at all, but rather run it with Parallels instead. Course I don’t have any new machines yet, but I am getting nervous.

    Thanks for your time,

On the disc 1 install DVD in /Applications, there’s an Open Firmware Password utility that lets you set a password to prevent such activity.
