Integrating AD with Leopard Sever

I am trying to integrate Leopard Server 10.5.6 into an AD environment (magic triangle). When I set it up I could authenticate user accounts on client machines using AD credentials but not OD credentials. Every time I used an OD account I received a message that said the account was unavailable. I am thinking of demoting the server to a Standalone server and then re-premoting to an OD master. Once that happens I would try to authenticate a client using an OD account. I would then bind the Server to AD and attempt to authenticate with AD credentials. Is this a good move? Can anyone offer some help with this. I am really stuck right now because I work in mainly at PC environment but I have people using some Leopard Server services and they are using their AD accounts to access them. When you say you try to login with and OD account, are you using a user account you created in OD?

Cause that kind of defeats the purpose of the triangle setup.

I am using this setup rather successfully thus far (Minus some very annoying Deepfreeze issues, whcih we are getting around) but the only thing I use OD for is group management of active directory users and groups. This works extremly well and elminates the need for having multiple user databases.

What services on the mac are you trying to use with this?

We are currently using Wiki and blog, and sharepoint services on the Mac Server but most people are authenticating into those services with their AD credentials.. I use Macs for my job in our PC network. I have 11 MBP’s for a mobile lab and some Macs sprinkled in throughout the district. I would like to set up mobile user accounts on the OD accounts but I cannot get any OD account to authenticate. If I am going about this the wrong way I am certainly all ears for an answer. I love this server and it’s capabilities but this issue has been quite frustrating. Thanks for the reply and any help you can give.
