I’ve read the Flying Raccoons articles, and well, they’re fairly clear but not clear enough. What I’d like to do is set up a computer at home (with one port forwarded to it through the firewall) to act as a general purpose VPN server so that I can get into my network from my laptop as I travel.

The initial problem is that all of the examples on this site assume that incoming connections come from a well known IP address or go TO a well known IP address. My home computers are all NAT’d behind a dynamic address, and I keep tabs on it using DNS Updater and EasyDNS. So, blah.domain.com will always link to the VPN machine.

How do I set up the VPN machine and, more importantly, the remote machine to accept incoming calls from anywhere and for the remote machine to call the home machine regardless of either’s IP address?
