Hello. I have been trying to import users through a standard CSV file in Snow Leopard server. I looked on Apple’s website but there doesn’t seem to be a template or real explanation of how to setup such a file for import. Is there a template to do this in Excel, or some utility that can make this job easier?

    Thanks.

I know this may not be the answer you want to hear, but I exclusively use Passenger, which is a third party app that allows you to build your own import files. I wrote a review for it on my website and have used it for the past 4 years in my 1 to 1 laptop deployment.

I think a single enterprise user license is around $99 and worth every penny. I have used it for 4 years so I have easily got my $99 worth. I also allows you to chop up usernames (like first initial last name, or first 3 last 3, or whatever) and it will actually check for duplicates and then drop the last letter and add a number.
