    Hi all,

I have been using InstaDMG for 3 years and it is a wonderful way to build images. I am stuck on an error message I am seeing in the debug log and cannot seem to resolve it nor find any info on it. I am hoping the community here can provide some guidance.

I am building images on an updated 10.7.3 MacBook using rev. 445. The iTunes package is downloaded from Apple using the 10.7 vanilla catalog. Below is the section from the debug.log.

    Working on folder 02 iTunes 10.6.1 (10:09:07)
    Mounting the package dmg: iTunes10.6.1 sha1-e9067bd7b8add8ef6bba0799df1e5a245c6c8187.dmg (/private/tmp/idmg_temp.0HxcDw/items-mQd3Kz/02 iTunes 10.6.1) at: /private/tmp/idmg.ws42/idmg_mp.rgLv
Mounted disk image from /Users/admin/Desktop/InstaDMG/Caches/InstaUp2DateCache/iTunes10.6.1 sha1-e9067bd7b8add8ef6bba0799df1e5a245c6c8187.dmg at /private/tmp/idmg.ws42/idmg_mp.rgLv
    Installing Install iTunes.pkg

Apr 14 10:09:12 lion-gm.local installer[2888] : IFJS: Package Authoring Error: access to path “/tmp/com.apple.mpkg.iTunes.noAMDS” requires
    Package name is iTunes
    Installing at base path /private/tmp/idmg.ws42/idmg_mp.mQQo

If anyone can provide any insight on this I would be much appreciated.

    Thanks.

I have checked my log and I also have the same error appearing but iTunes is working fine on the image. Did you test the resulting file?

For what I read the error comes from one option on the XML that the installer has and instaDMG forces to be skipped. Jailed install

You can read about the allow-external-scripts property here:

BTW my iLife ’11 installation has that same message repeated many times and those applications also work fine.

Yoshi, I did test the image and all seemed fine with iTunes. I also had the same for my iLife 11 install which also seemed ok. Perhaps it’s just one of those things. Thanks for the reply, at least I’m not alone!
