I once played with X Server 10.3 and succeded to create users ON the server who can login from every machine in the Lan. On the client machines I played with DirectoryAccess settings to read the LDAP authentication info at boot.

Now I don’t remember how I did it…and I’m trying on X Server 10.3.5…and I’m not able to do so.

Anyone can help me, maybe with a step-by-step suggestion?

    Thanks in advance

    1. Make sure DNS forward and reverse are working (important)
    2. Server needs to be a open directory master.
    3. Select your “Users” share and make sure you create a automount record for it (under Network Mount)
    4. Set up a user and select that home directory (if you don’t see it, you didn’t do #3 correctly)
    5. Set up the client using Directory Access and LDAPv3

    Something like that.
