Maybe I’m missing something, but how do I make it so that only the member of a certain group can launch a certain program? Seems that WGM works the reverse; you can only allow a group to open a program. You can’t seem to say “only this group can on this program”
My set up:
Panther server and clients
/Network/Applications folder shared on panther server via AFP
A folder in /Network/Applications that contains a Mac application
I would like only the members of the XYZ group to be able to open the app.
If I set the world read to null and the ownership group of the enclosing folder to XYZ, member of the XYZ group cannot open the folder. Seems that unix permission don’t translate through AFP.
Anyone got a good idea on how to restrict access to a app to a specific group?
Thanks,
