How do I change the unique user id for multiple users in OD?

I have an XServe G5 running 10.3.8 as an OD Master, but due to an annoying bug in WGM I cannot assign the same uid’s to the [500] users as I can in Active Directory [all imported with LDIF on W2K3] since WGM does not respect my ‘First user ID’…. It then increments wrongly for 90% of the users, so I end up with uid’s ranging from 1025 to approx 500,000 even though I entered ‘First user ID’ = 10,000…

Can aanyone help me out here??
