    Hello,
I have sucessfully joined my Open Directory server with Active Directory. Users from Active Directory can log in to my Macs without any problem now. I have Tiger 10.4.4 Server with Tiger 10.4.4 clients. Our domain is a Windows 2000 domain with a Windows 2003 SP1 DC at this site.

What I want is one of two things – I either want to set a home directory exlusively on the Open Directory side of things for my users, or have Open Directory mount a share automatically that is something like afp://OpenDirServer/Shares/%USERNAME% – and if it finds that location does not yet exist, create it. I don’t want the users to be assigned a SMB home folder unless I have to because the Windows side is working exactly as I like it right now and I don’t need files to go between Windows and Mac, just their usernames and passwords.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    -Jeff

    I’d suggest reading this:

    https://www.afp548.com/filemgmt_data/files/AD-OD-2.1.pdf

It shows you how to host HomeDirs on your ODM for your AD logins.
