    Hi All,

I was wondering whether anyone would be able to assist or offer any advise.

Im currently attempting to implement an AD/OD golden triangle setup with Mac OS 10.5 server bound into an Exchange 2003 Active Directory and am currently looking at managing email settings for my Open Directory groups.

I can apply the majority of details such as full name (via variable %@), smtp server, hostname and mail account type via the com.apple.mail managed plist. My issue is with sending across the users email address to the client machine.

Our email addresses are in the format of: firstname.lastname@?.?.net

From what I can see through Workgroup Manager it only gives you the option for a variable for user shortname using %@ which doesn’t help with the above email address format.

Are there any other variables that can be used to pick out first and last name? or any methods others have used to get around this issue.

If i remove the Address List key from the plist, and login as the user their mail requests that the entire client be setup – so it appears this key is required. If it weren’t I could login as the user once and set this up manually – and it would be synced for when they next login.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance, Sam
