I have an odd question, is there anybody here who knows why apple would have left out the support for QuartzGL, I was just browsing around the net and found something called “OSX86Tools” this is a tool for OSX86 community, (Hackintosh), I know that us fortunate people that are blessed with networks full of real macs, can shout them down, but some useful little utilities have come from this development, and sort of demystified the OS somewhat. So I decided to do a benchmark test without it, then I enabled “QuartzGL” with the aid of this tool and it really did, give me a higher benchmark result. This was done on an 8-core MacPro 2.26Ghz, with 10gig of ram, 2 1TB HD’s + the shipped 640GB, with a geforce gt 120 512MB GFX card, it was not much but it was certainly more, so why did Apple have something like this that they intentionally disabled, does it break something else in the OS that I am not aware of.

BTW, this is a server I am installing so I have disabled it cause it does not run any graphics applications, so why take the chance, but I am just interested.

Anyone know where I can get more RAM for my overactive mind. 😯
