    Hello:

I just bought an OLD, but still new-in-box copy of OS X Server 10.4 Tiger. I plan to install it on an old G4 to play with, but if I end up digging it I might want to install it on a new Mac Mini or something — something Intel based.

The DVD install I received is the original 10.4 from around 2005. On PPC, I can certainly download an update to 10.4.9 and be totally current. But I could not use the intstall DVD to install on an intel mac, I’m sure.

Does Apple provide a service to ship me the latest Universal Binary version of the install media? I asked at the Apple store, and onine chat with the online Apple store, and they said there was no SKU to buy, but to contact customer service.

I haven’t called them yet as I haven’t registered my serial number with them yet… Just though I’d ask here if anyone knows about that.

    Thanks.

    -Casey
