    So here are my spex:

    Tiger Server
    Squirrelmail 1.4.4
    Avelsieve 1.9.4

Whenever I click on the filters link, I get the following message:

Warning: fsockopen(): unable to connect to localhost:2000 in /usr/share/squirrelmail/plugins/avelsieve/include/managesieve.lib.php on line 417

Could not log on to timsieved daemon on your IMAP server localhost.
    Please contact your administrator.

I found another user on this forum that had a similar problem, but his fix didn’t work for me. This is a fresh as a daisy install of a test mail server and there are only two mail users. Neither can click on filters, so it’s not a permissions issue. Has anyone run into this and can guide me down the path of workingness?

did you get this issue resolved? I get a similar error. Looks like port 2000
has to be set for telnet access, but that is not security issue. Posted on
Apple discussions, but no replies there either.
