Finisher settings not applying

[Confusion]

We have some machine bound to Open Directory and the server MCX is deploying the correct printer and choosing the correct driver but even though the Finisher options are set for that printer those settings are not being set by MCX. I have also confirmed that these options are set correctly by going into the CUPS configuration page http://localhost:631/admin
Going into Manage printers – Set Printer Options. I can see that the finisher and side paper tray are configured correctly.
Any idea why MCX is not applying these settings to machines it is managing?

The server is 10.5.8 and the client machines are 10.6.8

however our server does not have com.apple.mcxprinting listed
Shouldnt this be in the details list by default?
