Extended AD schema with afp home?

Hi all,

I have managed to extend my AD schema with the Lion server attributes using the apple best practices documentation found [url]http://training.apple.com/pdf/wp_integrating_active_directory.pdf[/url]

Ideally I would like to specify a second home directory path so that all users have a win SMB share mounted from out SAS for when they use the windows workstations and an apple home directory from our xserve for when they use the mac’s.

I have looked at the cylinder of destiny approach but I have about 3000 users in my AD and this does not really scale well, also it would appear that apple are dropping support for this?

Can anybody advise a suitable route forward for achieving this?
