Excessive! memory usage by Mobile account synching?

After the most recent patch (X.6.3), my mobile accounts are seeing MASSIVE memory usage by the synch processes. On my poor 1st gen MB Pro (3gb maxed out), VM got up to -5 gb- and then crashed.

I backed up and then deleted the laptop account. Then I logged onto the laptop and recreated the mobile account from scratch. I restored changed files from the backup, then went over to the server and deleted all the files in the home directory there. Then I triggered a complete sync. VM went up to “only 3gb”.

What’s worse is that the sync process never terminates, so it holds onto all that VM. This makes the laptop run like molasses (actually, I was going to say ‘run like s…’)

Anyone else seeing this?
