Error connecting replica to master with SSH

I recently demoted and re-promoted my OD master. I went back to my replicas and did the same demotion to stand-alone, followed by a re-promotion to Replica and it failed to replicate with the following…

“Error while writing settings (Could not connect to OpenDirectory master using SSH)”

Has anyone experienced this before and worked through it?

Cheers to the ambiguous error messages!

It had nothing to do with SSH and everything to do with the fact that I hadn’t reset the local root password of my OD master in netinfo.

Doh!
