Error -10000

hen one of my users tries to print, the cups error_log (on Mac OS X Server 10.3.7) says:

2005-01-19 15:00:09 +0000 [20597] Printer: “HPLaserJet4650”, Job: “Document1”, ID: N/A, Submit Failed! Pages: 1, Sheets: 1, Service: LPR, User: joeuser, Host: localhost, Error: -10000.

I can’t find anything on this error by googling for it. I don’t see anything on apple’s website.

Deleting the user and creating it anew doesn’t fix the problem.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I have the same problem – but it is only with some users and some printers. I have a feeling that it is caused by the printer driver on client machines. I think that by selecting ‘generic’ as the driver type, it fixes it, as long as the printer is properly defined on server. Will have to test more to be sure.
