In my buildtrain, everytime I create an image it works great except for /Applications/DVD Player. The application has a generic icon and when launched presents a window with the headline “??” and the text “??-10960” with an OK button.

Anyone know why this happens and how to fix it?

A little more information needed.

Build hardware?
OS updates used?
Custom updates/installations used?
Installerchoices?

A quick look at your list indicates you’re installing iTunes 8.0.1 on top of iTunes 8.0.2.

lrwxr-xr-x 1 root staff 35 Dec 10 16:37 07 -> ../../../Packages/iTunes802.dmg

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root staff 35 Dec 10 14:26 18 -> ../../../Packages/iTunes801.dmg

Now whether that’s your problem, I don’t know.

I removed the InstallerChoices.xml file and DVD player is OK now. There is no mention of anything related to the DVD player in the InstallerChoices.xml file. Could this be a bug?

Why are you disabling each language individually? Josh’s above post with “LanguageTranslations” would be more efficient.

Maybe there’s an OS X funkiness with disabling the specific language installs but not the parent InstallerChoice? The end result of your InstallerChoices should be that LanguageTranslations would be disabled in the GUI OS X install, but possibly the CLI install creates an unusual interaction regarding language installs and DVD Player. I’m pretty sure DVD player is localized.
