My server keeps hanging due to a DNS timeoue at which point no services on my server are available. The only time this happens is when users connect to our vpn. I’m already on my way to resolving the issue by buying Sonic VPN routers from my ISP and creating a site to site vpn. I was just wondering whether I could extend the default timeout number for DNS timeout on OS X server (which I believe is 2 secs from seraching google the last couple of days).
Any help is appreciated as my ISP won’t have the site to site vpn (totally independent of our server) completed for the next 40/45 days and I have users waiting to connect to the server. I will not turn the vpn access on at the expense of nobody not getting any work done due to constant freezing of the server due to incoming vpn calls.
