Well I am finally happy with my dns, and this is after I have tried multiple different ways to use the Server Admin GUI, not just for a single installation, but I have been unhappy with most dns installs of os x server for years now, the only way that I can get it right is to write my own dns using bind, problem is that it is a pain, for one, and the second problem is that you have to know bind. This is all minor, the biggest problem I have is that even for simple stuff, that should work, that has worked before, it tends to have issues.
I had enough and tested out dns enabler by cutedgesystems and all I can say is wow, Apple should give this guy the job of sorting out their dns gui, and his site has a couple different scenarios that you can use to get an idea of how it works. Greatest thing is that the application is cheap.
If anybody here has tried this application, and has found any issue with using it, could you let me know, cause it just seems too good to be true.

Why don’t you just use Webmin? It’s great for managing a lot of FOSS.

Sorry excuse my ignorance but is webmin a fully fledged hosting company’s control panel, like something I would use on a mac if I were to do hosting packages for people. 😳

I guess you could use it for that, but mostly it’s for managing servers. Download, install it, and see.

Once you go Webmin, you’ll never go back.
