When I vpn to work I’m unable to resolve dns names. This is weird. I am able to dig host names and use the host command against host names, but I can’t ping host names. So I am unable to surf the internet while using vpn and have to connect to host by ip address. We use a F5 firepass as our vpn and then I use safari to log in. One more note it worked great with panther. If anyone has a resolution to this problem, it would be very thankful.

    Never mind F5 states this.

The following FirePass features support Mac OS X Tiger version 10.4:
    Portal Access
    Web Applications
    Windows Files
    UNIX Files
    Mobile E-mail
    Application Access
    Legacy hosts with Java terminals

FirePass does not currently support Network Access from Mac OS X Tiger version 10.4.
