ParticipantIs there any way to disable the account creation during the first-boot setup? I’m trying to create the admin account as part of the image, but I don’t want to create an additional admin account during first-boot.

ParticipantYou want clearReg.pkg:
https://www.afp548.com/filemgmt/index.php?id=71It touches two files, which tells the system that the Setup Assistant has been run already.

ParticipantYes. Have a look at the two packages called clearReg and createUser, found in the InstaDMG user submitted packages section here at AFP548.
I would recommend reading through the threads here in the InstaDMG forum category.

ParticipantIf on the other hand you want it to do system setup, but not account creation, thats something else completely….
care to elaborate?August 21, 2009 at 12:44 pm #376924mattstocum

[/p]
My initial goal was to run the system setup, and just skip the account creation, but skipping system setup entirely gets the job done. If there is a way to just skip the account creation, I’d love to know it, but I’m not losing sleep over the problem.

ParticipantIs there a way to skip the Apple ID screen entirely on first boot without using the CMD Q option? I know the option is in Reg_Section.bundle but unsure which plists or files to actually edit.
Or is there a way to have user information to be embedded into the registration fields so new users would never have to deal with it?
I’ve tried the methods mentioned in this post but when I test boot the laptop after getting rid of /var/db/.AppleSetupDone it’ll just keep looping the setup assistant without giving the chance to create a user account.
