Hello,

I’m struggling to figure this out when I forced the Directory Utility to unbind a mac’s bind address off from Window’s Active Directory Server. Next, I tried to re-bind to A.D. See image below is what I get after trying to re-bind? Is there a way for me to clean cache or anything? Is it possible if I remove the whole of the DirectoryService folder in /Library/Preferences as well as the edu.mit.Kerberos file in the same folder followed by a restart which I already did that and it didn’t work? Thanks in advance.

There are two passwords that it is going to ask you for, one if your admin password, and the other is the password for the ActiveDirectory admin (an account that can add computers to the default container). Are you sure of which you are working with?

larkost- Yes, I’ve been doing this binding thing for a long time with my Active Directory admin password without a problem. This machine is my second time experiencing this after forcing unbind from Active Directory. I even went to Active Directory server to delete this specific mac’s bind address and came back to this iMac trying to re-bind the same or different binding address. I still get this window saying that incorrect password?

I do not want to erase and install the OS X. It has to do something with “Directory Utility” application. Is there a way to ‘refresh’ this? Delete its plist file? Anything?

    Thanks.
sudo killall -USR1 DirectoryService
This didn’t work? Am I missing something? Please give me the instructions how. Thanks.
